Achieving through quality

Category 1 Rendering

The rendering of category 1 material takes place at our plants in Thornton, Bradford and Kintore, Scotland. The sites produce oil for the bio diesel industry and meal to generate power and to fuel cement works. Major recent investment has included a power thermal oxidising unit at the Thornton site.

Highly efficient and environmentally friendly, this equipment takes highly odorous condensate, as well as processed gases, and turns them into energy for producing steam, which is then used in the manufacturing process. Omega recycles 100 per cent of all materials brought onto site.
