The Prince’s Countryside Fund undertook a survey into the value of the Countryside to the UK’s economy. This survey highlighted the people’s mis-perception of that value. The value is around £80billion. The majority of the public (80%) when asked believed its value was less than £1billion.

HRH Price of Wales is a very strong supporter of the countryside and farming. This website link shows his dedication into not only sustaining this resource, but pushing the boundaries of what can be achieved.
The general public believe that the countryside should be protected but have no idea of its true value and what is required for its economic survival.
The countryside and its future is integrated with farming, which requires abattoirs and rendering plants. No matter how distasteful they may appear to some people, they are a vital part of the jigsaw.
There is a lack of general education about how the countryside works and what is required to keep it working. The Leo Group is an essential part of what is an £80billion national industry. The Leo Group is directly linked into this industry and is dedicated to maintaining a countryside so severely undervalued. We play a key role in a large, valuable resource to the UK Economy. Products produced by the rendering plants are now being used as a means of powering the factories themselves. We strive to achieve sustainable and carbon neutral methods of production.
