Biopower
Biopower one of Leo Group's subsidiary companies is a European renewable energy company based in Belgium.
Biopower has been investing in innovative and large-scale installations producing renewable energy from waste products since inception. While wind and solar energy depend on climatological factors, renewable energy from biomass can guarantee stable and continuous energy production.
Operating biofuel power stations and storage facilities in Ostend, Mouscron and Bruges. Biopower installed plants have been constructed using best available techniques. This exciting business development has allowed the Group to expand into new markets whilst utilising its experience and expertise in operations overseas.
Biopower is a pioneer in the field of biomass, an area Leo Group also possess a great wealth of expertise. The Group is now able to take animal by-products and fallen stock and convert them into electricity, and control the entire supply chain.

Refining
The biofuel power station in Ostend produces renewable energy from animal by products such as tallow and oils. After arrival at the refining division in Ostend, animal by products are further refined to biofuel that can be used for green electricity or second generation biodiesel production.
The refining department is capable of processing waste fats ranging from the highest to the lowest possible quality. This gives Biopower a significant competitive edge as the ability to handle all in a complex and heavily regulated industry.
