Leo Group Sponsors Queensbury Celtic Junior Football Club under 12’s

Leo Group are proud to announce sponsorship for Queensbury Celtic Juniors Football Club under 12’s.

Queensbury Celtic was established in 1978 by Arthur Peel and George Hunt and the club now provides junior football to over 300 girls and boys ages 5 - 17 years old. The club is based on Pit Lane in Queensbury with the under 12’s training Monday evenings and playing matches on Sunday mornings home or away.

Damion Clancy Football Coach of the under 12’s said “each manager of the individual teams are responsible for finding a sponsor to enable the children to have new kits, so we thought it would be good if we could find a local business that would be willing to buy our boys the only 'new' kit they have owned.”

After being contacted by Mr Clancy’s wife, Leo Group agreed that the team could do with a pick me up and could go out this season in shiny new kits. Mrs Clancy said “it's wonderful to see the boys in their new kits and on behalf of the parents, the players as well as myself and my husband, a big thank you to the Leo Group for agreeing to sponsor our team”.

Mr Clancy continued to say “In the 3 years I have been involved, the boys haven't had a new kit. We are really grateful that Leo Group have kindly donated buying the new football kits”. 

A spokesperson from Leo Group said “Again this is another example of how we like to help local teams in the Queensbury community and we pride ourselves in being part of helping the younger community”.
