Ravenscliffe’s Grand Opening
On Friday 28 September Leo Group were invited to the opening ceremony of Ravenscliffe new sixth form at Spring Hall. Opening the school was double Olympic gold medallist and Chairman of the London 2012 Olympic Committee, Lord Sebastian Coe and multiple Paralympic gold medal winner, Hannah Cockroft. The school now have a new £3.4m facility with classrooms for food technology, art, dance and IT. There are also specially adapted changing rooms, personal care areas and a bike store. Along with the state-of-the-art sports ground which is also the local training venue of Hannah Cockroft!
The opening ceremony was extremely heart-warming with Martin Moorman the head teacher at Ravenscliffe, speaking about the challenges the school have face over the past four years to make the build and opening possible. Martin also thanked the other businesses that attended the event that have helped towards funding the build. Leo Group were also mentioned as key supporters for our help raising £375,000 including £250,000 which we raised in just one night at our charity ball in 2017!
